What would you do if your school said it was only going to teach you the good things America did and pretended that everything, like the struggle to end slavery, segregation and give woman the ability to vote and work never happened.

There are an infinite amount of ways to learn, and an infinite amount of ways to teach. Comics are one of these ways.
Read this funny comic: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/semicolon and then write your own comic that teaches people something! Bonus: Write a sentence about how the comic you read bullies people who are fat. Read about the new war and answer the 3 questions at the end. Additionally give your opinion in the comments about whether you think that America should be in this war.

http://www.vocabulary.com/ and take The Challenge! Tell how many points you've earned in the comments and show me in class to get points! 9/11 happened when I was 13. In my 8th grade science class we weren't told what was happening. We knew something was up, because teachers kept popping into the classroom and whispering to our teacher, and students were getting called out to go home to their families. They had us go home early and only then did I see on my parent's television what had happened. It felt very unreal to me, but some of those kids who had been called out during class had parents who had died or been injured in the attack.
Today we remember 9/11 because it is one of the largest attacks on American soil in recent history. We also remember it because it was a time when many people came together to help and support those who needed it. It also led to hate and racism towards groups of people who had nothing to do with the terrorists who attacked, and that should be remembered to so we can avoid it after future disasters.
